CLOSING OF THE BONES CEREMONY

Ritual and Ceremony are key elements of my work. I cherish the ancient traditions that honor the sacred journey of womanhood. Through ceremonies deeply rooted in indigenous wisdom, we celebrate the profound rites of passage that mark significant cycles in a woman's life.

Among the sacred rituals I offer are Coming of Age Ceremonies, Mother Blessings and Closing of the Bones. Originating from rich indigenous traditions, these ceremonies have been practiced for generations, carrying the wisdom and blessings of our ancestors.

Coming of Age

A celebration of the first right of passage of a woman. Acknowledgement, witnessing and celebration of her womanhood.

Mother Blessing

Acknowledgement and celebration of the journey a women passes through as she enters the portal of life.

Closing of the Bones

A deeply transformational ceremony to acknowledge and witness the journey a birthing woman has gone through.

The Blessingway is a Navajo tradition that has rooted in Native American Indian culture, it offers a sacred space for honoring expectant mothers as they embark on the miraculous journey of childbirth. It is a time-honored tradition that embraces the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of the mother and her unborn child.

Similarly, the Closing of the Bones ceremony, with its origins in Mexican tradition, holds deep significance in many cultures across South America, including my homeland, Colombia. I have been passed on the wisdom to hold this ceremonies by Traditional Mexican Midwife Naoli Vinaver and Traditional Colombian Partera Laura Medicina.

It’s very important for me to acknowledge and respect the cultures and the ancestry of these ceremonies. They are part of a lineage that needs to be recognised and honoured.

I am incredible thankful to be able to carry on this medicina.

If you want to know more about the Coming of Age or Mother Blessing ceremonies, I would be happy to talk to you about it. Circumstances and needs vary.
